'Least Restrictive Environment' - Child's Drug/Alcohol Treatment.

Parents should look at accurate assessment of your child's problem before rushing into a treatment program. There is a continuum of traetments that you should investigate. One is abstinence and staying at home and the other extreme is residential treatment. Study the levels of treatment and get a referral from someone who has 'been there' and does not work for the center.

God bless America - Let's clean up the drug/alcohol problem!!!

Let's not let the substance abuse epidemic ruin our country!!! This problem can if we let it. This concern can be stopped if we join together and learn how to We need support for NARN - National Addiction Recovery Network. Founded in 2011 by two men from Central Florida, this organization is on its way to being a national movement that integrates outpatient, inpatient and transitional care for drug and alcohol victims who want help. These three treatment modalities need to work together so that treatment is not only affordable but also highly effective. There are certain things that work well for addictions and these need to be taught and practiced in order for recovery to be initiated and maintained.

Our world is too precious to be taken down by this insidious devil. Join us in taking our treatment model to the top. Alcohol/drug treatment is cost-effective.

Think about it! The consequences of addiction are very monetarily high not to mention the relational and emotional costs. These may be more important and lasting than the financial costs.

A DUI can cost 2 to 50 thousand dollars. A lost job can cost 10 to 80 thousand dollars. The cost of the lost promotion can be immense as can the cost of low production at work or on-the-job absenteeism. Bad decisions can be very expensive also. Think about the cost of the drug or alcohol itself. What about a divorce? How about 'guilt' gifts? What about career interference or educational loses? A car accident is usually 10 to 20 thousand dollars just for the car, not to mention injury costs. What about legal fees? I can go on and on... I would guess that the average cost would range from $100,000 to $500,000.

Now for the real consequences: the broken relationships, marriages, poor or absent parenting, broken homes, damaged emotions, kids who carry on this problem into the next generation, lies, cheating, stealing, rages, panic attacks, betrayal, broken hearts... How much do these cost?

Here's the 'kicker': without treatment these costs are repeated. They go on and on and on... Try treatment. It's very, very cost-effective. It works. If it didn't, we wouldn't have treatment centers.

Inpatient vs outpatient drug/alcohol treatment.

Inpatient treatment should be the first choice when there is a need to detox, prevent continued relapses, escape a toxic environment and/or work through relapse triggers that emerge constantly and create enormous stress that makes it difficult to stay sober.

The ideal choice is to use NARN, National Addiction Recovery Network to choose a Center. NARN was established in 2011 by this author and his business partner for the Orlando area and is dedicated to working with integrated treatment facilities to include outpatient, inpatient and transitional living services. NARN insists on quality treatment at an affordable price. With its three part delivery of business services: marketing, billing and information management, we insure integration of services so that no addict or alcoholic or their families get 'lost in the transitions from service to service', thus insuring continuity of care.
