Drug/alcohol abstinence necessary for marital therapy?

See video on you tube under the doc pete.
If a partner won't abstain from all mood-altering chemicals to include alcohol, it is a problem for the relationship. Non-alcoholics/addicts are so interested in 'using' that they would give up the relationship to continue. This would be a problem. Non-addicted people do not continue when there is a problem with using. See video for more. Thanks.
