Parents Need to be Parents" - Drugs/Alcohol

A recent study suggests that parents who allow their children to drink under supervision may result in more drinking and subsequent consequences. (Journal of Studies on Alcohol and Drugs, 2011).
It seems that parents send mixed messages to children when they allow the children to drink in front of them but not without them. This sends a double message. Parents should be strong enough to speak their minds and send clear messages, opinions about drinking and drug use. Parents need to be parents.
